Meet the Program Director
Chief Jim Kruger
Program Director
The Criminal Justice Management program is designed for several different type of students:
- Current law enforcement practitioners that want to return to college and attain their degree.
- Practitioners that wish to gain an education in management and leadership, whether it be for their current agency or planning for a potential career change.
- Students that wish to explore opportunities in the public sector from a non-sworn perspective. Many positions are being "civilianized" so that sworn officers can be redeployed in the field.
The program coursework is focused on individuals that aspire to lead in a supervisory or command position. We have the necessary managerial courses to give students the skills to manage in today's environment.
We are unique in our field because we are authorized to accept traditionally aged students aspiring to complete their Criminal Justice degree that have attained 60 hours in criminal justice or a similar major from an accredited community college.
Our adjunct faculty are all current practitioners in the field. They have the experience and the cutting edge knowledge of what is happening today. Our faculty include Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs, Commanders, and Watch Commanders from all type of law enforcement agencies. We also have attorneys and municipal finance professionals to round out our faculty.
