The Human Services Program prepares students to enter the helping professions. Learn to tackle social issues with an informed position.
As a graduate you will:

See how history, philosophy, and faith have changed how we deliver human services
Examine and evaluate human systems —individual, group, family, organization, community, society—from a Christian perspective.
Understand conditions needed for individuals, groups, and communities to grow
Use a variety of research skills to make good decisions everyday
Develop and use critical thinking skills to explain yourself clearly to others either in writing or in face-to-face conversations
Develop a basic understanding of human service intervention skills, and prepare for graduate education
Relate better with everyone in your organization – even “difficult” people
Successfully manage administrative “paper” or “computer” work
Recognize and respect that every person has dignity, worth, and a right to determine their own lives
Implement legal, ethical, and Christian-based principles within the human services profession.
Understand yourself better, and know that what you think, feel and say influences others
