Looking for a Second Chance
Getting an education is wonderful, but not if you keep it to yourself. Judson University provided me not only an efficient way to earn my undergraduate degree, but also a lifestyle. I was energized to become a lifelong learner and to share my knowledge with others.
While attending Judson, I made the decision to earn an MBA during a discussion one night with my HRM professor, Karen Schliep. Once I set my mind that I would continue on to earn my MBA, there was no looking back. And now, I’m anticipating enrolling in a Ph.D. program. The opportunities and doors that were opened for me after graduating from Judson have been many. Not only did I earn my MBA, I am now back at Judson teaching as an adjunct instructor and blending my academic knowledge with my corporate experiences to “pass it forward.” I also volunteer for a wonderful organization known as Junior Achievement. Teaching 8th grade students is different than teaching adult students at Judson, but the satisfaction is equally delightful.
I was looking for a second chance and Judson was the perfect open door.
My experience at Judson was absolutely unforgettable. The program adequately achieved its learning objectives within the accelerated time frame. I knew there was a defined pathway to earn my degree that was built on and captured my previous work and education. I was looking for a second chance and Judson was the perfect open door.
The HRM program at Judson is top notch. The courses are designed for students to learn. The professors are excellent. The cohort adult model provided me with a “side-family.” And the faculty/staff were always there when needed.
I have to say that the Becoming a Successful Student course was a great starting point.
Starting something new on your own can be intimidating but the nice thing about Judson is all the attention your receive from the faculty and staff, which yields confidence and that feeling that you are not alone. I have to say that the Becoming a Successful Student course was a great starting point. The difference at Judson can be explained as a Christian community. One can say that Judson is the best-kept secret around. Maybe it’s time that more people found out about all the wonderful happenings at Judson.
